Global Environment Facility

The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is an environmentally focused funding organization that funds grants for projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international waters, soil degradation, the ozone layer, persistent organic pollutants, mercury, sustainable forest management, and food. It currently covers 184 countries, partnering with international institutions, civil society organizations (CSOs) and the private sector to address global environmental challenges while supporting national sustainable development initiatives.
