"Agro-Man" competition for farmers is launched
With the financial support of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the "Agro-Man" competition is being held within the framework of the joint cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Partnership and Coordination Office (FAO) of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in Azerbaijan. The organizers of the competition are the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency (AKIA) under the Ministry of Agriculture, the FAO-Azerbaijan Office and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy.
The main goal of the competition is to support the increase of agricultural employment of young people living in the regions, to reveal agrarian-oriented, innovative business initiatives. Contestants will be provided with relevant assets (tools and equipment) in accordance with the business plans they will present, including support services provided by the contest partners.
Terms of the competition:
The financial value of the equipment to be purchased under the project is set at a maximum of 10,000 (ten thousand) manats;
Young farmers living in the regions up to 35 years of age can participate in the competition;
The business idea must be related to the field of agricultural activity;
Projects submitted to the competition must be written in the Azerbaijani language;
Each applicant (individual or group) has the right to submit only 1 project within the competition.
Document reception and notification
Those who wish to participate in the competition should send the following documents in electronic form to telman.askarov@fao.org:
Application form;
Business project;
Financial evaluation of the business plan;
Copy of the applicant's identity document;
Relevant documents related to the farm where the project will be implemented (a document on whether the land is owned, used or leased by the applicant)
Document acceptance will continue until 18:00 on July 8, 2022. Applications submitted after the specified time will not be considered. Information about the results of the competition will be shared on the official websites of the partners and mass media.
